We are so excited to have you join us at Big Lake Nazarene Camp this summer. We seek to promote growth in Christian character and foster a great awareness of God.

We also encourage campers toward a personal commitment with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in an atmosphere of fun and recreation. We want to assist you in preparing your child to have a wonderful week at Big Lake Camp by providing the following information.

2025 Camp Checklist and Rules

Things to Bring:
• Towels
• Sleeping bag and/or bed linens
• Pillow
• Bible/Pen/Journal
• Toiletries
• clothes for extremely messy events
• Athletic Wear
• Modest Swimsuit
***Please let the Director know if you have trouble gathering any of these items so they may assist you in being prepared to have a great week.

Lice Check
In order to prevent the spread of head lice, we ask parents to check their child’s hair 2 weeks before their camp begins and also the morning before they leave for camp. All campers will be checked for lice at registration time. The driver must remain until all of his/her campers have passed this inspection. Any camper found to have either lice or nits will not be allowed to stay at camp, but will be given a set of instructions on what will need to be done before returning to camp if they desire. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Damages/Liability:
In an effort to maintain the quality and character of Big Lake Nazarene Camp, any damages resulting in a cost will be billed to the persons responsible.

Leave the following items at Home:
• Alcohol or Tobacco Products
• Illegal Drugs
• Explosives, including fireworks
• Paintball & airsoft guns
• Knives and Firearms
• Shaving cream that would be used for anything other than shaving.
• Water Balloons

Things that may get you sent home early:
• Sneaking out after curfew
• Having a member of the opposite sex in your cabin
• Using immoral conduct, including vulgarity or profanity
• Fighting
• Failure to be at Scheduled events/activities without acceptable reason
• Destructive Pranks
• Actions deemed inappropriate by Camp Staff

Things you agree to when you register:
• Adhere to the activity schedule
• Adhere to the predetermined camp boundaries set by the Camp Director and Staff.
• To respect ALL Camp Counselors & Staff
• To turn in your car keys to the Camp Director if you drive your own vehicle.

Dress Code:
-Big Lake Nazarene Camp is a Christian camp with a distinctly Christian atmosphere; modesty should always be the standard for dress code.
-Apparel may not display or promote alcohol, controlled substances, or inappropriate language or pictures.
-Campers are not to wear apparel that exposes the midriff, is extremely tight-fitting, lowcut shirts, or very short shorts. -Modest swimming suits are to be worn while swimming. No bikinis. When out of the water, a swim coverup must be worn over a two-piece swimming suit. Males are to wear t-shirts while out of the water.
***If a camper violates the dress code, they will be asked to change into clothing that falls within the dress code.

Public Displays of Affection (PDA) are to be limited while at camp.
Kissing, lengthy hugs, and inappropriate touching are not acceptable. Other forms of PDA may also be unacceptable and to be determined by the camp staff. If campers are seen engaging in PDA that is unacceptable, they will be respectfully spoken to in private and reminded of this policy. Further steps may need to be taken at the Director’s discretion.
